Volume 5: Fall Hiking at a Hidden Gem

ree

Although fall brings shorter days and cooler temperatures, new opportunities for outdoor adventure reveal themselves. One of our favourites is exploring hiking trails with the full complement of fall colours lighting up the trees. That being said some more popular spots such as Mono Cliffs provincial park can get extremely busy. But what if I told you there was a place you can go to see incredible fall colours without the crowds?

Awenda Provincial Park is located about two hours from Toronto, in Tiny, on the shores of Georgian Bay. Boasting 31 km of trails and also sites for car-camping, there is plenty of space to feel like you are the only person there. There is even a small lake for fishing and canoeing. For some jaw dropping pictures, sections of the Bluff Trail provide stunning Georgian Bay views from the namesake high bluff. For those not wanting to climb as high, the “Beach Trail” takes you right along the shoreline, with great views of Giant’s Tomb Island.

Before the snow starts falling, get out and explore a lesser known fall colour destination like Awenda Provincial Park. Our after_ collection hoodie and sweatpants make the perfect outfit for a day hearing the leaves crunch under your feet.
